TY for sharing.
I offer the monks' blessing, although I am a Christian: May all beings be happy, healthy, and at peace.

Police and Sheriff offices started giving them badges and pins now each one does. They are getting a tremendous amount of support from law enforcement operations each one coordinating with the next. We saw them south of here in Chesterfield Co Sunday. There were 7 or 8 police vehicles keeping their path clear.

Richmond is the only city I know of that has class 4 rapids within its city limits. Class 3 in the downtown area pretty much where that Lee Bridge is in that picture.

Also not that far from one of the worst chemical spills into a river in US history.

Beautiful people. Nice as state capitals go. Love Richmond.

Many times down at Belle Island.

Kepone - Allied Chemical - in Hopewell. Made in a former gas station off their regular plant. People couldn’t fish the river for long spans for decades.

Side Effects/Toxicity: Acute exposure causes tremors, headaches, severe nervous system damage ("Kepone shakes&quot , and liver damage. Chronic exposure is associated with reproductive dysfunction and is classified as a possible human carcinogen.
Environmental Impact: It is highly persistent, contaminating soil, groundwater, and marine life for decades, notably in the French Caribbean, where it caused a major ecological scandal.
Production & Use: Produced by Allied Chemical (beginning in 1966) and manufactured by Life Science Products in Hopewell, VA, where negligent disposal poisoned workers and the ecosystem.

I actually worked for Allied Signal for as an IT contractor at their main campus there in Richmond. People were nice but hated that job. Being there I was always freaked out and nervous. They had these horns that would signal for issues. If it sounded two series of 9 horn blasts, and you were within the sound of those horns, that meant you were already dead and just didn't know it yet.
