Obviously you like it. But real cartoonists don't like AI, and they'd probably be baffled and maybe insulted highplainsdem Feb 2026 #9

Everything tells me the last thing people want is someone in "The Middle". The people want someone that is going to kick buns and take names. If not Newsom then AOC or some other young Democrat that wants to overturn the status quo. Someone that wants to make government work for the needs of the many, not the wants of the few.

100 💯 percent.
The fake nonexistent middle, which is just code for Republican-lite, pushed by the Never Trump crowd who are trying to pass themselves off as Democrats.

That he is too right or too left?

I hope its that its saying he's too right. With his opposition to a small billionaire tax in his State

But I would assume its the same old mantra that if only Democrats would move further to the right, would act more like Republicans....If they would relinquish any people first policies and cater more to the billionaire class. Stop opposing masked thugs shooting citizens. Stop mirroring Trump's idiocy on social media.

Or what? What exactly does he have to move further to the right about to get to this ever shifting "center"?

Why does the MSM news always frame it that the hopeful Democratic contenders for office ALWAYS, every damn election, have to not be so damn progressive and forward thinking, and pull back and let a little MAGA in....... Then they'll win!!!! (And if they don't we'll use the old "I told you so" for the next four years.)

above all the cartoons? The cartoonists have actual talent and put actual.work into their cartoons. Whoever had an AI tool generate the first image just gave a prompt to a machine trained illegally on work stolen from real artists.

by a thread about real editorial.cartoons from real artists starting out with AI slop, as if that's equivalent to or maybe better than real work by real people.

AI and editorial cartooning don't mix.

The odds are that every editorial cartoonist you've posted had their work stolen to train AI. Every time anyone uses an AI image generator or posts AI images to promote them, they're shilling for the AI robber barons and giving a thumbs-up to that theft.
