I don't often say much positive about Republicans, but, let's hear it (at least this once) for SEN. ROGER WICKER (R, MS).

Secretary of the Dept of Homeland Security Kristi "Puppy Killer" Noem advised Senator Wicker that ICE was going to lease a warehouse in Byhalia MS (Marshall County, pop. 1,300) for use as an ICE concentration camp. The capacity of the concentration camp was to have been close to 9,000 (7 X the population of Byhalia).

Wicker replied with a short one-page letter that basically said not just "NO" but "HELL NO !!!!", ICE is not putting a concentration camp into Byhalia and not into anywhere else in Mississippi.

Wicker beat that girl like she was a red-headed stepchild!!

Wicker served in the US House of Representatives 1995 - 2007 and has been in the Senate since 2007. He knows his way around DC and Noem picked the wrong ol' Mississippi boy to mess with.

2. Actually this one was a no-brainer

The infrastructure to support the use of the facility for mass detention was not there at all. I applaud the representative but would like to see him and his party show the same push-back when the answer is simply "no, we don't want to have your nasty facilities anywhere in our state."
