I broke my leg Jan. 30th and have been away from home since then. First in the hospital for 2 surgeries and now in a skilled nursing facility for rehab for 2 weeks so far. I have a long haul ahead of me before I will be able to walk on my right leg again. My poor kitty doesn't understand why I disappeared. Thank God for good friends. They have done so much work to my house the make it possible to return home when I can do so successfully.

I was in the hospital last month for congestive heart failure. It was scary as hell.

I’m much better now. Doc put me on a new medication and it’s working great.

They killed him
A guy who helped a lady
And since discovered
He helps people like me
I'm a Veteran
He was a nurse
And definitely a better human
Than this ICE curse
Which has brought
Another soul to fall
An unending horror
Hiding behind "the law"
And it will be his life
Not his death
That will put light
On this darkness
The strife

19. I could use one

I fell, for the second time, at my new apartment. This time I hit my head and now I have a black eye, as well as a bruised knee and rib cage.

I asked for a ground floor apartment and while my unit is on the first floor, it has 4 steps up from the parking lot with no handrail. Now I have to fight to get a fucking handrail installed. I use a cane for balance, but sometimes canes slip!
