Trump to SCOTUS toss E. Jean Carroll case because I'm too busy

WASHINGTON – Making a case for why the Supreme Court should overturn a $5 million judgment that President Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed writer E. Jean Carroll, the president’s lawyers topped their legal arguments with a practical one.

He’s busy.

“It is deeply damaging to the fabric of our Republic for President Trump, in the midst of a historic presidency, to have to take his focus away from his singular and unique duties as Chief Executive to continue fighting against decades-old, false allegations and the myriad wrongs throughout this baseless case,” his lawyers wrote in their final filing before the high court decides as soon as this month whether to hear Trump’s appeal. "This mistreatment of a President cannot be allowed to stand."

The brief, however, was filed the same week that Trump sued the Internal Revenue Service for $10 billion over the leak of his tax information.

Outside of Uncle Clarence and Pope Alito I don't think even this court will take Donny boy seriously.

And appealed, and ruled against him again? All he has to do now is have one of his minions write a check for a paltry few million dollars, less than what (per the NYT) he grifts in a week.

If he's too busy, have his secretary draft a check for the right amount, give it to him, have him sign it.

Five seconds later, he has plenty of time to return to ruining the rest of our lives.

…being the lawyer who has to present this ridiculous argument - in front of the Supreme court, no less? And then go home to your wife and kids? I don’t know how they can live with themselves.

Running around town pissing on bushes, writing his name on anything that he wants to steal. I don’t remember that being in his official presidential duties.
