General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI think we should expand our conversation about the Epstein scandal.
The trafficking of young girls is a horrific crime, and anyone involved in any capacity should be imprisoned, ostracized, excommunicated from all polite society, and suffer for all eternity. That said, the Epstein affair is so much more that should be in the conversation. It was money laundering. It was extortion and blackmail. It was espionage. And yes, it is becoming obvious it was murder. The trafficking and abuse of the the young victims was just the trap. It was the tool to suck some of the rich and powerful in. This is a much bigger operation, and it has been very successful in roiling the world order. Putin, Netanyahu, tRump, Musk, etc. are achieving a goal 2 world wars could not. They are destroying everything the US once held dear. They are replacing democracy with autocracy. They are replacing every good tendency with greed, avarice, and hate. Those covering these crimes up should meet the same fate as the perpetrators. They are complicit. We are a long way down this road but destroying everyone involved in the Epstein crimes in any way would be a good start to a return to normalcy. If we can't achieve accountability for this massive web of criminality, I fear for our future.

(31,644 posts)I did a thread 10 minutes ago suggesting that Congressional Democrats come out in unison demanding that Howard Lutnick resign or be fired.
Make Krasnov defend a pedophile enabler, make Congressional Magats defend a pedophile protector.
I got one response.

Musk was involved with Epstein, wasn't Clarence Thomas?

(31,644 posts)he is calling on Epstein enabler Howard Lutnick to resign, Robert Garcia is calling on him to be fired or resign.
Would be a good hill for Congression Democrats to die on, a case could be made that Krasnov hired people who were involved with Epstein.
Thinking maybe Schumer and Jeffries are rounding up their members to demand that Lutnick be fired, what do you think?

(4,832 posts)There were also boys trafficked. Focusing on young girls alone lets the paternalists just think, 'boys will be boys' or 'they are chattel, so what'?

(31,644 posts)He spoke at a news conference and is asking his constituents which unredacted Epstein files they would like him to concentrate on? There are already requests in the link I provided.
Members of Congress are being given access to the unredacted Epstein files. Suggestions are already coming in with examples.
Wish that Congressional Democrats had thought of that.
Massie and Ro Khanna are on Epstein enablers like dogs on a bone.

One such instant was a private meeting being held at a retreat for 150 billionaires arranged by Thiel. This meeting was just a get together no speakers, just billionaires spitballing on how to _________________?
It was billed as being OFF THE RECORD.
There are also emails from a reputation agency on how to spin the underage girls exposure. It's a sickness that really needs to be exposed.
