Demonstrators hurled insults and sex toys at federal agents outside a Minneapolis government building on Saturday to protest the Trump administration’s deadly Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdown on undocumented immigrants and their supporters, with state and local police arresting more than 50 people.

Dubbed “Operation Dildo Blitz,” the protest outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building saw demonstrators place sex toys in a chain link fence while others handed out rubber phalluses to protesters who threw them at passing federal and local law enforcement vehicles.

…but it’s also effective. It makes ICE look like idiots if they press charges, it’s getting press, and it engages MAGAts at their own level. I can’t see myself doing something like that, but more power to those who do.

It makes ICE look like idiots if they press charges (‘How were you injured by the flying dildo, sir?’ - see the sandwich guy), it’s getting press (which is why we’re talking about it), and it engages MAGAts at their own level. People who do this sort of thing at a football game are not out to make a point; they’re literally just immature (and probably drunk) dicks. People who do this sort of thing at a protest are mocking the other side. Humiliation can be effective when dealing with MAGAts, and humor can help defuse a tense situation.
