US Military Helping Trump to Build Massive Network of 'Concentration Camps,' Navy Contract Reveals

https://www.commondreams.org/news/military-contract-concentration-camps

Now Manríquez reports that the project has just gotten much bigger after a Navy grant was repurposed weeks ago. It was authorized through the Worldwide Expeditionary Multiple Award Contract (WEXMAC), a flexible purchasing system that the government uses to quickly move military equipment to dangerous and remote parts of the world.

The contract states that the money is being repurposed for “TITUS,” an abbreviation for “Territorial Integrity of the United States.” While it’s not unusual for Navy contracts to be used for expenditures aimed at protecting the nation, Manríquez warned that such a staggering movement of funds for domestic detention points to something ominous.

“This $45 billion increase, published just weeks ago, converts the US into a ‘geographic region’ for expeditionary military-style detention,” he wrote. “It signals a massive, long-term escalation in the government’s capacity to pay for detention and deportation logistics. In the world of federal contracting, it is the difference between a temporary surge and a permanent infrastructure.”

He says the use of the military funding mechanism is meant to disburse funds quickly, without the typical bidding war among contractors, which would typically create a period of public scrutiny. Using the Navy contract means that new projects can be created with “task orders,” which can be turned around almost immediately, when “specific dates and locations are identified” by DHS.

It is particularly chilling when you read somewhere that Steven Miller has stated he wants to reduce the population to 100 million (less than one third of our present population).

If my memory serves me (sometimes it doesn't), Trump quipped that if it were up to Miller, The U.S. population would only be 100 million and all of them would look like Miller.

100 million fewer people in the U.S. via a X post which is far beyond what any estimate of undocumented immigrants could include. This is very scary illegally using funds not appropriated by Congress for building camps on military bases which are not publicly accessible and I would bet they also want to further hinder Congress members ability to provide oversight visits. Why are the Republican politicians allowing this with no oversight? Just morally bankrupt.

Don’t think they won’t be coming for you and me. All those people they’re hiring, all those camps they’re building, all that money they have, all that goes well beyond what’s needed for legitimate immigration law enforcement. Nope, they really are planning to come after troublesome Democrats.

Lock 'em all up in Alligator Alcatraz, except the ringleaders.

Those traitors deserve something, an address say, that is much more permanent.

COURIER has independently verified the location of 23 mass detention campsites that have been surveyed by ICE
https://www.beltway.news/p/map-all-23-industrial-warehouses

Plans are underway to double the detention capacity of the Trump administration’s federal police force by converting massive, industrial warehouses unsuitable for people to live in into detention centers.

COURIER has independently verified the location of 23 mass detention campsites that have been surveyed by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Of those locations, leases for five have been secured, while opposition from local communities has killed or stalled deals at five others.

In an apparent attempt to avoid public outcry and scrutiny, ICE has sought to secure these leases in private, ignoring potential health and safety violations and catching local elected officials off guard. In an effort to provide transparency into this process, we have published a searchable map showing each proposed site, its current status, and the level of public response.

All 23 locations can be found here. (map) The facilities fall into four categories: signed leases, stalled by community efforts, opposed by community, and preliminary stages.
