A United Auto Workers official confirmed Monday that Local 600 line worker TJ Sabula kept his job and "has no discipline on his record" despite calling Trump a "pedophile protector" during his Jan. 13 visit to a Ford Motor Co. plan in Dearborn triggering an obscene response from the president, reported The Detroit News.
"TJ, we got your back," said UAW Vice President Laura Dickerson during a Washington, D.C., speech Monday morning.
Trump responded to the insult by flashing his middle finger and mouthing the words "f--k you" twice at the worker before mouthing his "you're fired" catchphrase from his reality TV show "The Apprentice."
"Well, this ain't 'The Apprentice,'" Dickerson said.

(22,267 posts)They say the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Maybe he was the first step away from Trump, you know?

"The UAW member, suspended from his job by Ford Motor Co. after he shouted 'pedophile protector' at President Trump during a factory tour in Dearborn on Tuesday, said he is grateful for overwhelming public support and now asks that people send their money to other deserving causes."
"Fundraising on his behalf collected $810,000 from Tuesday through Wednesday."
'We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support! At this time we are closing donations to this campaign and encourage you to look for other causes and organizations to support,' said a note at the bottom of both original GoFundMe pages. 'We appreciate every single donation, comment, share, and sign of support!' "

(24,453 posts)and in front of a union audience, no less. Unbelievable. I'm glad the worker wasn't fired, but really, trump should be facing more blowback for this.

(22,267 posts)Same mindset is going after Jimmy Kimmell and expecting the network to fire him because he hurt Trump's feelings.
That didn't happen here.
