The documentary "The Librarians" is showing on PBS. If you have Passport it is already there

It will be shown on "Independent Lens" this evening. I do not know how long it will be available if you don't have "Passport". Your local PBS Station may have the answer to that.

I saw this film last week and I highly recommend it. It is about the conservative drive to remove books from school libraries, mostly in Texas.

One of the entities behind the book banning is Patriot Mobile, which was the main source of funding for the Republican candidate in the Jan 31 Special Election in Tarrant county Texas. She was soundly defeated in the run off (surpassing our most optimistic expectations).

This censorship blitz is extremely dangerous. We can't let it go on without fighting back. The librarians are in the front lines fighting for us all.
