https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15544025/Epstein-bombshell-NINE-year-old-victim-senior-government-official-revealed-redacted-files.htmlKhanna pointed specifically to Prince Andrew's association with Epstein, as well as the involvement of prominent political figures such as Peter Mandelson, the former UK ambassador in DC, arguing that the release of Epstein-related files reveals a protected network of powerful individuals who have long escaped accountability.
According to Khanna, symbolic actions such as removing royal titles do not amount to meaningful accountability.
He also called out the silence from senior figures and said that King Charles III has a responsibility to address what he knew about the matter and when.
Khanna warned that if the British monarchy were to collapse under the weight of the Epstein revelations, the consequences would not be limited to the United Kingdom.
He said the scandal threatens to expose a broader transatlantic elite class, with implications reaching well beyond the royal family.

(4,407 posts)In a just world we'd allow all of their victims to beat their rapists in very sensitive places with baseball bats.
You could charge $100.00 pay per view, and pay off this years national debt.

(1,585 posts)Sorry, but I have no sympathy for people who dont know what it is.
Although, it may be more Humane to make them Penniless and Outcast on the street for the remainder of their lives.
In no universe should even one of them die in their chaise on the beach in Hawaii of Natural Causes.
The High Road is strewn with the corpses of those who would do Good. Evil is afoot.

(15,187 posts)any type of 'civilized' society metes out 'justice'. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) we are not gods - and therefor do not have the wheels of karma or 'fate' in our hands - and thus are constrained by methods of justice that are within our human hands (and ethics).
And, sorry - but that has nothing whatsoever to do with 'sympathizing' with the offenders .... (a particularly ignorant and unworthy trope!) It's simply a matter of that most of us have decided, some while back - that torturing malefactors was not the answer. With the basic construct being that wishing someone ill - remains a fundamentally different thing than performing ill on that same being. Perhaps you disagree with that - but there lies the crux of affair. And that is why I take issue with the post that I responded to.

Maybe it's time to give humanists and social scientist a chance to fix what they broke. No reason Capitalism can't be part of the New World. Just a fairer system, and one that is not susceptible to corruption.

(13,334 posts)with Andrew and Mandelson and others. People have been removed from government and Andrew has been stripped of his title and sent off. The only person with consequences in the US is Maxwell, a UK citizen.
I am sick and tired of nobody naming and shaming and charging those people in the US who are apart of this appalling deviant sex trafficking ring, starting with the president of the United States.

(25 posts)Did these monsters think of justice? They thought their money made them invisible. Their Master, not Trump, has no preference as to who he destroys. "The biggest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he does not exist" Open your eyes, Laws cannot fix what really ails this country. We're battling real evil and that's not an issue for the courts. This is a complete destruction of the heart and soul and that's from within Our Hearts of Darkness

(1,585 posts)They are ALL guilty of the most heinous things UNTIL THEYRE NOT.
This is the Court Of Public Opinion. Thats how this works. Until we have hard evidence to the contrary, we have only what we know of their character to judge them. And I believe they feel entitled, and so make their own determinations as to the moral code by which to navigate their interactions with other beings. Then we have to consider the occupation they practice, and its almost invariably transactional in nature and mostly predatory in fact, and hierarchical Dominance is the name of the game. So
it isnt a far reach to assume that such people would take pleasure in abusing those they deem powerless and weak. Its their legacy. Its their reward for being ruthless.
If Satan had a plan, this would be it. Eventually, they will control ALL the avenues of information and substitute their narrative for reality in furtherance of their Agenda. And, still, they will be Guilty, with no consequence but the mistrust they will have sown and ultimately this society weve created will begin feeding on itself, and in the ensuing chaos, we will wake to see weve lost our claim to our Freedom to someone less principled than we thought we were.
The Citizens of this Nation PAYED FOR THIS INVESTIGATION, and it DOESNT belong to the Republicans. There is vital information that needs to be made known. There are people who pull the Big Levers in our Economy and our Government, and they need to account for their actions and explain why they have broken Trust with our system of Laws, created with the intent that they bind EVERY Citizen. And they need to explain why the rest of us are denied the privilege of ignoring the Law when it threatens to harsh our buzz.
UNTIL THEY RELEASE EVERY WORD OF THE EPSTEIN FILES, THEY ARE AS GUILTY AS THEY ARE INNOCENT.

(1,585 posts)is that we ARE there already. And I must have hidden my sarcasm a little too well.
We are in an asymmetrical battle here, and have been trying to exist in a world we knew which no longer exists, playing by rules that have been rendered moot by virtue of the fact that they are routinely ignored, if not openly mocked. And strongly-worded-letters have no effect on those who wont, or cant, read. I dont see the bridge from here to there anymore. The tricks in our bag no longer fool anybody.
I am a pacifist by nature and its frustrating that Im haunted by vengeful ideation in response to our timeline and the constraints of civilization are not troubling to those getting tarted-up to abridge my Freedoms. Im really out of options, as are you.
