Is anyone buying Trump called the police on Epstein?

I saw a story on the news this evening that it was actually Donald J Trump who called the police to alert them of Epstein’s crimes and how they should look into it. A police chief can even remember it was summer of 2006. Credit to NBC News for calling out the sketchiness of this when Trump is on camera in 2019 saying he had no idea what Epstein’s was up to after his arrest. Some MAGA cult police chief trying to save Trump’s ass probably.

To make clear: when Trump called the chief, it was after the Epstein story became public — when Epstein was arrested. Palm beach police had been investigating the case since 2005. My gift link to the story is here:

IOW, who falsely claimed that Trump was the FIRST one to call the cops, and that his call somehow instigated the investigation? Who/what outlet(s) promulgated that lie by framing it in those terms?

I mean it sounds like a really silly lie, given that Reitner said Trump said things like "I'm glad you guys are doing this", which *clearly* indicates a reactive rather than proactive position in the situation.

Seems ludicrous anyone would frame this 2019 claim from Reitner as indicative of Trump being any kind of instigator, but we know how Fox, et al report shit about Trump

If trump was only there with Epstein in the 1990s and 2000s to go after Epstein, that is a lie. Then...

Why not do the same with Roy Cohn, why not expose Roy Cohn. Why have over a dozen phone calls with Roy Cohn per day when Roy Cohn was the Epstein of Trump in the 1970s and 1980s with underage stuff.
