https://www.nytimes.com/live/2026/02/10/world/tumbler-ridge-school-shootingLive Updates: 9 Killed and 25 Injured in Shooting at School and Home in Canada
The shooting occurred in Tumbler Ridge, a remote community in British Columbia. The police said the suspected shooter died of a self-inflicted injury.
Tumbler Ridge, the remote British Columbia town where a shooter killed 9 people on Tuesday at a school and residence before dying of a self-inflicted injury, has a population of about 2,400 people and lies near the border with Alberta.
The town sits at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in the provinces northeast, and is surrounded by expansive mountain ranges and a geological park recognized by UNESCO, the United Nations cultural agency. It is so remote that cellphone service cuts out about 30 seconds into a car ride out of town, said Danielle Roscher, the owner of a local outdoor tour company

But I bet Canada's response will be better than ours. I bet they'll change their gun laws. I bet they love their kids more than their guns.

How horrible. Time for magical thinking is over though Canada. You are not immune to this sickness the United States infects you with, and unlike us, you can do something about it.
