I know the El Paso officials have been furious all day and that none of the official stories made any sense, at all.

Hegseth, with or without a snootful, wanting to shoot something off and possibly impress some of his buddies, now that makes a lot of sense.

And yeah, I've been terrified from the beginning that something really awful is going to happen because it's abundantly clear that there isn't a single grownup in charge of this administration.
