White House 'less than thrilled' with Pam Bondi's handling of Epstein matter: CNN reporter

Bondi was playing to an audience of one person. I thought that Bondi was very unprofessional and went too far. It seems that trump may not be happy with the public backlash to Bond's antics

White House 'less than thrilled' with Pam Bondi's handling of Epstein matter: CNN reporter

John Dandridge (@jonthetherapist.bsky.social) 2026-02-12T15:29:35.678Z

https://www.rawstory.com/white-house-pam-bondi-epstein/

CNN's Kevin Liptak revealed the White House was unimpressed with Attorney General Pam Bondi's fiery performance before the House Judiciary Committee.

President Donald Trump's attorney general lashed out at Democrats, hurling insults and highlighting various crimes back in their home districts that she pulled from a tabbed binder, and refused to answer questions about the Jeffrey Epstein case, but CNN's senior White House correspondent revealed what he's hearing about her from insiders.

"It was almost a Trumpian appearance from the attorney general," Liptak told "CNN News Central," "and I think that particular aspect of it will probably have gone over fairly well. But, listen, the White House has made no secret that it is less than thrilled at how the attorney general has handled the Epstein matter. You know, Susie Wiles, the chief of staff, who is ostensibly one of Pam Bondi's friends, said that she had whiffed the entire thing, which I think sort of embodies how the West Wing has viewed this generally, and so when she went out into that hearing room to engage in this really sort of bitter theatrical appearance, I think it did reflect an attorney general very much under fire for how she's handling all of this."

"You know, she came armed with these personalized insults for anyone who asked about anything she didn't want to talk about, which was virtually anything having to do with Jeffrey Epstein," Liptak added. "She really shrugged off questions from Democrats about why none of Epstein's co-conspirators had been indicted. She blamed that on the Biden administration. She refused to apologize to Epstein's victims, who were sitting in the very room where she was, for how some of these files had been redacted or not redacted, as the case may be showing to the general public some of the victims names and faces. That was the line of questioning from [Rep.] Thomas Massie (R-KY), who was kind of the only Republican in the room to ask her about any of this."

We should not forget that Trump began his second term transition with an absolute outrage: floating/ nominating Matt Gaetz as US Attorney General. He settled for Bondi because Gaetz was forced out due to his own sex scandals. But Trump actually wanted Gaetz, just like he wanted Hegseth and was thrilled that Hegseth pushed through his own scandals (he very likely drugged and raped a woman at a GOP event, let's not forget, in the midst of a drunken stupor, then paid her off).

Trump is constantly floating the idea of shitcanning Bondi because he despises her, and despises what she represents: his inability to get what he wanted in Matt Gaetz.

He suggested gaetz first, knowing his scandals wouldn't get him past the gate, and make bondi seem a more...reasonable...alternative. Remember. she had already made things go away for him when she was florida ag. If t and some in his administration are upset with her, it's because the cover up is starting to fail, and the various attempts to embarass, demean and silence the victims is no longer working.

Freedom Of Information Act.

Sitting behind Bondi were two of her assistants holding two big binders.

A Representative from A STATE would begin to question Bondi.

Bondi would turn to the assistants, say something, they would page through the binders, then hand to her photos and details of people FROM THAT STATE who had been convicted of murder, assault, etc.

Bondi would then flash the photos and start describing this evil person from the STATE of the person questioning her.

I have no idea WTF she was trying to prove.

HOWEVER -- that material may be subject to FOIA release. That is, if someone would simply write a letter to DOJ, request under the provisions of FOIA, I want copies of everything in those binders. Clean it up a bit with formal language -- you probably can search the 'net for "how to submit a FOIA request."

DOJ may be able to deny the request, but, if it works, damn but it would be fun to have her binders. Of course, DOJ will slow roll the request, but, what the hell, I'm retired and have lots of time.

I honestly believe that if Bondi was employed in management by a typical company, she would be required to undergo a psych evaluation after that off the rails diatribe, which went on for hours. No way was that appropriate or defensible.

If she is that unhinged in public, I shudder to think what she might be like in private.

Explosive Pam Bondi hearing 'could be her last' as she did what Trump hates most: analyst

#TuckFrump (@realtuckfrumper.bsky.social) 2026-02-12T16:07:46.000Z

https://www.rawstory.com/pam-bondi-donald-trump-2675263096/

Attorney General Pam Bondi's combative performance with lawmakers could be her last, an analyst explained Thursday.

Joanna Coles, Chief Creative and Content Officer of The Daily Beast, described how Bondi's behavior was meant for an audience of one — President Donald Trump — but how that might have backfired.

"Because these hearings, like so much political theater now, are staged for an audience of one: the great and powerful Donald Trump. So while Bondi thought she was playing the role of loyal defender, her sneering responses and burn book takedowns turned her into something else: the Angry Woman. And that is not something her boss would order from Central Casting," Coles wrote.

Bondi did the one thing Trump has openly criticized: women who do not behave in the way he wants them to.

"Yet Trump has made something else equally clear over the years: he does not like 'angry women,'” Coles explained.

Bondi, who was facing a high pressure situation to respond to the Department of Justice's conduct and criticism over the Epstein files and treatment of survivors, lashed out against lawmakers with yelling, insults and name-calling. It was opposite of what he likes, as "his preference has always skewed toward the ornamental: Melania Trump, serene and sphinx-like; Ivanka Trump, polished and now conspicuously silent in his second administration."....

Trump views a woman's fury as "dangerous currency" and could ultimately view Bondi's reactions as mentally unstable, and as Coles pointed out, "instability is fatal."

“'You’re fired' has always been more about mood than merit. It’s possible that Bondi’s ugly performance could be her last. And if it is, it’s her own fault. The fix was obvious. If only she had smiled more," Coles wrote.

30. White House 'less than thrilled' with Pam Bondi's handling of Epstein matter: CNN reporter
Thu Feb 12, 2026, 03:35 PM

If Only! But would it matter? Even if she's thrown under the bus, as Trump is always wont to do, he'd just pick another "brown nose" to replace her. Therefore, new face, no change.

What I'd like to suggest, is that we go after the Enablers; the people who are in positions to make it possible for Trump to get away with the destruction of our democracy.

Start, perhaps, with Speaker Mike Johnson, but don't stop there. Call him/them out for enabling, in my opinion, the insanity he is perpetrating.

If I may start with:-

An Open Letter to the Trump Enabler, Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson

Feb, 2026
An Open Letter To The Speaker of the US House of Representatives
Dear Speaker Johnson,
I am writing to you as someone who is deeply troubled by the way you use your expressed religious faith to handle your job. You have often told the American people that if we want to know what you believe, we should just "read the Bible." But as I watch how you lead the House of Representatives today, I see a massive gap between the teachings of the Bible and the way you act as the primary enabler for Donald Trump.
It is one thing for a President to do wrong; it is another thing entirely for a man who claims to follow the teachings of the Bible, to be the person who makes that wrongdoing possible. You aren't just a bystander; you are the enabler, the one holding the door open for him. You use your position to make sure the President never has to answer for his actions, and you use your claimed faith as a shield to protect him from the truth. Without your help, his worst impulses would be stopped, but instead, you act as the bridge that allows them to become possible.
I am asking you to be honest about how you enable these behaviors:
1. You Make the Lies Possible. You often play "ignorant" when the President says things that aren't true or treats people with cruelty. When he calls his political rivals "vermin," or when he spreads conspiracy theories, you tell reporters you "haven't seen the news" or "don't know the details." But we all know that as Speaker, you see everything. By pretending not to know, you are enabling his lies to spread without any push back. The Bible teaches that "the truth will set you free," but you seem to be working very hard to keep the truth from coming out.
2. You Give a "Spiritual Pass" to Vices and Lawbreaking. You claim to stand for "family values," yet you are the main defender of a man who has spent his life doing the opposite. You stood outside a courthouse to defend him during his trial for paying off an adult film star—a case that involved cheating, lying, and faking business records. You stayed silent when he demanded millions of dollars from the Justice Department to pay for his own legal troubles. In plain language, you are acting like a "character witness" for someone who has shown he has no character at all. By doing this, you are telling the country that it’s okay to lie and cheat as long as you have power.
3. You Use God as an Excuse for Power. You often say that "God is the one who raises up leaders." But it seems like you only believe this when it’s someone you want to have this power. In 2020, you were one of the main lawyers trying to throw out the legal votes of millions of Americans to keep Donald Trump in office after he lost. It is hard to believe you care about "God’s will" when you were willing to ignore the will of the people to help his attempt to illegally stay in office. You are the enabler who tried to give him a second term that he didn't win, and you used the Bible to justify it.
4. You Enable Vengeance Instead of Mercy. While God tells us to "love our enemies," you are helping the President carry out what looks like a "revenge tour." You are helping pass budgets that hurt the poor, while supporting the President’s threats to use the government to "punish" anyone who disagrees with him. You aren't just watching him do this; you are the one passing the laws that give him the power to do it.
Mr. Speaker, if you were truly a man of honesty, a man of truth, a man of decency—a man of God, as you claim—you would not be Trump's Enabler. And, if I may paraphrase what Joseph Welch said to Joseph McCarthy during the McCarthy hearings—"Mr. Speaker, have you no shame?”
Mr. Speaker, stop pretending, stop lying, stop enabling, or, Mr. Speaker, I simply can’t imagine how God could possibly have any mercy on your Soul.
Sincerely,
A (very saddened)-American-Citizen

I hope some (many) of you will agree & re-post this as broadly as possible; & write your own open letters to Speaker Johnson and all the other Enablers that are helping to destroy our country.

Truely- A Very Sad Citizen
