The acting director of ICE told Congress, under oath, that local law enforcement in Colorado leaked raid plans, allowing gang members to escape.
After 9NEWS questioned ICE's claim and its timeline, ICE deleted the claim from its social media platforms.

Todd M. Lyons is the Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), having served in the role since March 2025. A career law enforcement officer, Lyons previously led ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). He actively testified on immigration enforcement policies in February 2026.
