Apparently supporting students protesting ICE is a crime

A South Carolina woman was arrested for posting support online for anti-ICE students planning a school walkout. Law enforcement contends she was influencing disruptive and violent behavior by the students. The powers that be continue to suppress free speech…..I hope the court sees it that way.

These school walkouts, especially in red states, are doing serious damage to MAGA, as is evidenced from the absolutely bonkers behavior of everyone from the local MAGA dumbass trying to fight a crowd of high school kids to the sheriffs and legislators throwing absolute hissy fits.

It's driving them crazy ion Texas and South Carolina for two reasons:

1) Just the sheer visual presentation of so many people opposed to their view if harmful to MAGAs
2) Their own kids and nieces and nephews are going to these protests, too; they can see their future of no contact and not being invited to Christmas looming before them

3. My family has cautioned me

They’re concerned that my attending frequent rallies will put me in a national terrorist database. I laughed and told them I probably have been in such a database since the late 60’s as I marched with the anti war rallies including SDS participants. I’m not about to succumb to the threat of fascism. If they come for me, this regime will find out this old man will not go quietly. Like Robert Reich recently posted: ‘Here I am Kristi Noem, come and get me’.

4. Have an FBI file? File FOIA

I'm another one of those old guys who are doing their best to stop the fascists. A few years ago I filed a FOIA request to see if I had an FBI file. I did! It was interesting reading. Back in the 1970s the FBI "investigated me" and talked to my boss and my landlord. I obviously had committed no actual crime but they were just fucking with my job and housing. Nothing has changed.

You might want to file an FOIA request yourself. Just a suggestion.
