In reality, probably not immediately. I suspect based on the DOJ policy from Nixon, any arrest would happen after impeachment given the bootlickers he has in his administration. That said, I think it would probably prompt Republicans in Congress to impeach him.

I pondered a similar question recently. If Trump ordered a drone strike on some random suburban home just because he was bored, would he be at any risk for prosecution. Honestly, I don’t know that answer to that anymore.

9. It is a fundamental flaw in our system.

With DoJ under the President exclusively, there is no effective judicial check over the executive.

Congress should be able to authorize a special counsel that is independent of the AG and President with that Counsel having the same powers as any prosecutor that is within DoJ, except limited to a specific, bounded area of investigation.

As it is, only the AG can decide that a SC is necessary. Since we now know that AGs are not independent and non-partisan (Barr, Sessions, Bondi), we cannot allow this arrangement to continue. There must be some way to have checks and balances.

Judges were owned by the outlaws, and towns were run by monsters then as well. It is kinda reversed here with judges still ruling right, BUT every rethug and DOJ and even our military have ALL the authority.
