... and extortionist .
Is there really any hope of exposing those in the shadows and revolting against these creeps? (Looooong article)
"Epstein wanted to reduce "overpopulation" through climate change disasters, genetically modify Black peoples' brains, and create vast numbers of "superior" embryos using his own DNA. And he cultivated scientists to do so, and funded their research.
...
The latest release of the Epstein Files contained emails with scientists seriously discussing the funding of projects to weed out the elderly and disabled, and create genetic engineering for "superior" embryos. His emails were shockingly racist, and not surprisingly, expressed his view of women as mere sex toys and breeders.
...
Like Elon Musk, Epstein had planned to seed the human race with his DNA by impregnating women at his 33,000 square-foot ranch in New Mexico, and discussed the idea with multiple top scientists (who chose to remain anonymous), according to a 2019 report by the New York Times. "

At its most benign, transhumanism is a belief that humanitys problems can be improved, upgraded even, through such technology as cybernetics and artificial intelligence at its most malignant though, transhumanism lines up uncomfortably well with eugenics.

What a crazy story, and deeply sick and twisted man. No wonder he and Trump were two peas in a pod for so many years.
AFA "the scientists" go, I'd like to know how much each one knew about, and more importantly did to further, these insane plans. Anyone who truly understood the goals and sought to further them needs to become persona non grata in the scientific world!

Things related to the 2025-26 file releases would logically not be part of the 2019 Guardian story you linked (which I did read but didn't see such strong accusations in, though it was a good read so thanks for that

(19,107 posts)I didn't find that section and neither did ctrl-F (search) in the page.
I put "Epstein climate change disaster" into Google News and got several hits. Didn't find that exact paragraph (but I didn't look hard).
This one backs up the text you have. (Fast Company, via Yahoo)

Potentially a good thing for the species
In a series of July 2016 emails with Joscha Bach, a German philosopher, AI researcher, and cognitive scientist, Epstein brings up climate change in the middle of a discussion about cognition and race.
Maybe climate change is a good way of dealing with overpopulation, Epstein writes. the earths forest fire. potentially a good thing for the species.

(3,382 posts)I always like reading Michael Mann, who is quoted often in the article.
This is good summation thereof:
Epstein does not seem to be necessarily a "climate change denier" so much as a "it's probably real, but maybe it will have unforeseen benefits for the planet and/or humanity, long term" type. I'm not entirely sure which is "worse", though outright deniers (and especially the people who cry "hoax!" ) generally annoy me more just because it's such an incredibly STUPID thesis.
The other sort, the Epstein types, however are probably more dangerous, especially when they have the dough to influence what steps are actually taken.

(3,382 posts)Based on wording, the first one COULD have been from it, but I both read the whole thing, and global searched for the word "black", and do not see that paragraph.
The 2nd could not have to begin with, because it is referring to the Epstein file release, which had clearly not yet happened yet in 2019.
So I was just wondering if you copied that quote from elsewhere and if so, where, so I could read the actual article?

(64,627 posts)Several years after his 2008 conviction, publications including Forbes, the National Review, and HuffPo all ran stories on Epstein praising him as a selfless philanthropist, a hedge-funder with a zealous science background, and one of the largest backers of cutting-edge science around the world. None of the articles mentioned his criminal history, and an investigation by the New York Times claimed they were used as part of a public relations campaign to revamp Epsteins image. All three publications have since deleted or amended articles cited by the New York Times.

(12,019 posts)Every single person, scientist or whatever, that took money from or openly associated with Epstein, especially after his arrest, should be taken out to a public square and beaten to death with a baseball bat on mandatory TV broadcast on every channel.
To imply they didn't know or say some ignorant shit like "I didn't know" is insane.
I remind you these people were actively kidnapping, raping, murdering and eating CHILDREN.

(22,417 posts)I wrote a long reply earlier today in response to this, but decided to wait a while before posting it, for fear of coming on too strong. What follows is an amended and hopefully toned down version of what I originally wrote. I considered not posting at all, but the violent imagery in this comignore me. disturbing to me, that I feel like I just have to say something.
I get the anger towards Epstein and his enablers, believe me, but the thought of beating anyone to death with a baseball bat or anything else is repugnant and horrifying to me, no matter what they might be guilty of. The idea that anyone who ever associated with Epstein, on no matter how superficial a level, deserves this treatment is not something I could ever agree with.
I really wish we could hold ourselves to a higher standard than this and not let our disgust with Epstein and his cronies drag us down to such a level. We need to be better than this, imo. Sorry if I sound like I'm overreacting or being too literal minded, but I've been rubbed a bit raw by living in Trump's AmeriKKKa for the past 13 months, and my ability to be tactful and diplomatic has been sadly eroded thereby. I have no wish to hurt or offend anyone, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I just felt the need to expreas how I feel.

(12,019 posts)Is perfectly fine and under normal circumstances I would not have conceived of such an extremely dark resolution.
I don't even believe in the death penalty.
I think there are two things that need clarification about why I feel the way I feel.
First is that I think our society has become so numb to the insanity of Mango Mussolini and those in his orbit like Epstein, that we start to lose perspective, becoming desensitized to the horrors these people have wrought across the planet.
I didn't even know how to properly convey how truly dark and vile their crime spree has been. It's a worldwide kidnapping, murder, torture pedophile ring of billionaires that in turn uses its wealth and power over those in lures into its web of crime to increase its power and influence.
Even that just seems like just words. They don't even begin to convey the horror experienced by the poor and young that are their victims. I mean the Epstein files make hundreds of references to eating babies and toddlers. There is just no way to truly express how truly horrific these people are.
Second, is that I myself am in a unique position to have at least some insight to what these children experienced as I am a survivor of child sexual abuse. I was molested by two different people, totally separate of each other (did not know each other and totally separate incidents). I was repeatedly sexually abused over a period of a couple years. One attacker was never charged and the other faced very little consequences for their actions.
So I have at least a little insight what they experienced but not nearly as bad as what they experienced.
So with all that in mind, when I see people like some of these scientists or politicians or royalty, acting as if they didn't know or that they only participated in certain events and never saw anything wrong I know that to be a lie. These people, these billionaires, are many things but they were never subtle or ambivalent about what they did.
Anyone saying "I didn't know" is a liar. I mean many of these events some of these people attended were after he was initially charged.
These people knew and they didn't care. They wanted the money and lifestyle that came with being in their orbit. To me that is just as bad as doing it. They knew. They knew they were raping children and didn't care because they were getting money and fancy parties.
They deserve the fate I wish for them and worse.
ShazzieB
(22,417 posts)Thank you for this gracious response. I am deeply sorry for what you have experienced and wish you as much healing and happiness as life can possibly bring.
I am hesitant to assume that absolutely everyone Epstein associated with knew exactly what was going on, if only because he seems to have known and associated with a huge number of people in a variety of different contexts. In my experience, people who have things to hide often find ways to compartmentalize different parts of their lives so that people who know them in one context may have no idea what they may be up to outside of that particular context. But anyone who DID know and kept their mouth shut is definitely deserving of severe punishment.

(22,142 posts)Eugenics was once a very popular concept in the early 20th century. And Adolf Hitler carried that banner until his death.
Today, thankfully, eugenics as a movement is limited to a relatively small number of kooks, such as the ones described above.
