Gonna gripe about some of my favorite podcasts. Always with the purple prose about KRASNOV "crashing"

Overall, these are the ones I like: Meidas Touch, Pakman, Secular Talk, Sisson, Legal AF/Popek, Luke Beasley, Majority Report/Seder, Cocchiarella, Keith Edwards, Adam Mockler.

The ones I look at most: Meidas, Beasley, Pakman, Edwards, Mockler. Less so, Seder, Popek, Sisson. Stopped Cocchiarella.

*** The gripe: Especially Meidas (my most go-to) is always running with the headlines about KRASNOV "crashing, coming apart, worst day ever, near death," etc. Meidas has tons of solid information, resulting in my tamping down attention to the purple prose. But the lead-up to the State of the Union was the worst: Granted that KRASNOV, in the days prior, was building up to meltdown stage, so it seemed credible that Meidas was predicting a complete clinical break coming.

My problem is, KRASNOV is the worst of the worst, but it's a known condition, can't be worse. So every time somebody says he's at a breaking point, there he comes to the camera and, despite being his obnoxious self, he talks almost in control. Big letdown.

I listened, and she did not do any such thing. She lied and gish-galloped and avoided hard questions, but nothing like an "implosion"

I'm with you on this point!

2. I don't watch any of those any more, even Meidas, because they advertise more than they deliver.

I was raised at a time when reading was a thing, not watching a screen, so I'm good at reading and I can do it very fast. I'm old and I don't want to waste whatever time I have left on videos that offer 20 seconds of content after making you sit through 20 minutes of vapid commentary. Is Trump crashing, falling apart, dying before our eyes? Maybe, but don't blather on about it. He could croak any time, or he could linger for years, like a lot of old people with chronic ailments. Until it happens, and may that be soon, don't waste my time telling me about the gangrene or whatever on his hand or the fact that he walks funny.

The sensational, dramatic headlines, the yellow arrow. Every substack from them (with the exception of Filipowski, who does actual reporting) is just "subscribe, subscribe, subscribe."

I realize these sites need subscribers, but substance would be nice without the extremes.

5. Yep. At this point, I avoid any video that has a hyperbolic headline, or yellow text, or a photo of Drumpf.

4. The only way to stop that is to stop listening and tell them why

But click bait sells so unfortunately those of us who don't like it are outvoted by public attention.
