(5,246 posts)Like the Republicons didn't do any opposition research? They've been salivating to bring down the Clinton's for years. The only possible reason they wouldn't have run with it, is if they were afraid he would incriminate someone with an R behind their name. The fact that they're risking disposing him now, to me seems like an admission they already know he doesn't actually know anything about what Epstein was doing. It's performance art as others have said.

(4,460 posts)This, a thousand times. It would have been plastered all over the place if they had even a tiny bit of evidence of his participation in these crimes. Which makes me think they must not have anything.
I still stand by my view that anyone, no matter who they are, should go to jail if they were involved in the child abuse and sex trafficking.
If Bill Clinton were involved in crimes, or any other Democrats for that matter, and it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt they were guilty, I'd want them to be held criminally liable. That's one of the main differences between our party and theirs.

(22,464 posts)Clinton's accepting rides on Epstein's private plane or casually associating with him at a time when he was probably looking for wealthy donors to contribute to his foundation does not in any way prove he was implicit in or aware of any of Epstein's illicit activities, especially if his association with the sexual predator ended as early as he says it did. If any real evidence to the contrary should come to light, I will eat those words, but I doubt that I will ever need to.

(3,300 posts)... that is what I have mentioned to friends who have asked me about Bill and Epstein. "Bill has SS detail with him at all times. If anyone of them seen something improper, it would have been reported and sensationalized in the news by now"!

(54,680 posts)But the new material does apparently indicate how Clinton's world collided with Epstein's in the early 2000s, when Clinton was redefining himself as an ex-president on a philanthropic mission. He was in the market for wealthy donors to the Clinton Foundation and later to the Clinton Global Initiative, a gathering of leaders devoted to addressing world problems.
At the time, Epstein was a money manager and jet-setting financier who, with his girlfriend Maxwell, was hobnobbing with the world's wealthiest from Buckingham Palace to Palm Beach and collecting powerful friends along the way.
There are no direct messages between Clinton and Epstein in emails reviewed by the BBC, but the two men are the subject of much correspondence between Maxwell and Clinton's top aide, Doug Band.

(1,506 posts)I really don't care anymore if the man got a BJ. It takes 2 to tango, not 1.
With that said, I have to ask you, please go back and reread his statement. The man still remains to be a class act. Still knows how to talk the talk. And better yet, I believe every word that was spoken.
Isn't Donny and Melania next? Only makes sense.

There was much more attention paid to Hillary's appearance yesterday - or at least it seem that way from my vantage point.
