It's a dead administration walking.

I'm never in support of an aggressive war... but I won't cry for the Mullahs.

it might not be wise of Iran to target countries that would at least be somewhat sympathetic to Iran, even if there are US bases there.

But maybe they figure they can land more punches that way then by firing all their missiles into Israel, where there are good interception systems.
