(95 posts)we all had high hopes for John. I think his stroke was worse than we thought. I had a TIA almost two years ago, and I flat-out have moments of not knowing what the hell I just did. It scares the heck out of me. He should step down.

(17,523 posts)unconditional support of Israel. I doubt any of his voters and supporters, of which I was one, had any idea of his fanatical alignment with whatever Israel does or wants to do. That never came up during the campaign. I have no idea if Fetterman has always thought this way or not.

(1,426 posts)He wasnt my first choice. You are right, this was not a conversation going on during the campaign that I can recall.

(17,523 posts)I'm not sure where this blind loyalty to Israel comes from, maybe it was triggered by the Tree of Life synagogue shooting, but who knows.
Anyway, I don't see him being re-elected, if he even decides to run again. Even though Fetterman gives the same kind of unconditional support to programs for the poor/working poor, LBGTQ rights, areas of criminal justice reform, my sense is his voters are disappointed with him. Polls show Rs support him, but they won't vote for him unless he'd switch parties and even then I'd be skeptical.
