82 y.o. dude who was railing his secretary while his wife was in the cancer ward demands "thermonuclear detonations"

The former Speaker of the House shared the story to his 2.5 million followers on X with a quoted passage, which read: “Instead of fighting over a 21-mile-wide bottleneck forever, we cut a new channel through friendly territory. A dozen thermonuclear detonations and you’ve got a waterway wider than the Panama Canal, deeper than the Suez, and safe from Iranian attacks.”

The problem is, it appears Gingrich didn’t know it was satire. ( an article by the ChinaTalk Substack on Sunday that proposed detonating thermonuclear bombs to open up a new lane, eliminating the need for the Strait of Hormuz. )

“The views expressed above do not necessarily represent those of anyone with brain cells,” a note at the bottom of the story read.

A community note was later added to the former Republican congressman’s X post that read: “The open letter ends with: ‘The views expressed above do not necessarily represent those of anyone with brain cells’.”

Who was so high up in our government thinks this is possible. Also, they should strap him to one.

Maybe they can't, either. Things are pretty far gone.

... the idea almost looks plausible. Trouble is, people live there, and it would take years to dig. If Newt's plan was followed, nuclear fallout might be a bit of a deterrent as well.
Gingrich was born an asshole, and he hasn't mellowed with age, or gotten any smarter.

while his second wife was hospitalized for cancer treatment . . . wound up being his third wife -- Callista.

She was appointed by Trump in his first term as US Ambassador to The Vatican.

In October 2025, Trump appointed her as Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, a position she still holds.

No word on what Newt is doing now other than posting stupid shit.

And, as I recall, he served divorce papers on his first wife while she was hospitalized for something. Callista had best avoid being hospitalized.

Finally -- I did not know this, but, there are two Newt offspring out there somewhere. Newt Gingrich has two children, both daughters, from his first marriage to Jackie Battley: Kathy Gingrich Lubbers and Jackie Gingrich Cushman. Both daughters are active in supporting his political legacy and have been involved in media and communication, with Jackie notably working as an author and columnist.

Blow jobs! "Playin' his flute." Lickin' the lizard. Lip-lock on the love muscle.

'We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, 'I never slept with her.'' - Vanity Fair, 1995.

It's why Callista was so good on the French horn.

Well, it's in keeping with the fine upstanding conservative values Newt embodies, I guess.

.. that it was his own party that ran him off the road & into the obscurity he deserved.
Not dens; not the media; his own party because he was a failure that only fomented toxicity.
Yet, he's still loyal to the party that pummeled him and left him at the curb.
What a dope.
