Fetterman's vote advances Markwayne Mullin out of committee

Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voted against reporting Mullin to the full Senate, but Democrat John Fetterman crossed party lines to support Mullin in the 8-7 vote.

...without Fetterman's vote, Rand Paul’s opposition meant Mullin needed a Democrat on the committee to cross party lines to keep his nomination alive and discharge Mullin’s nomination from the committee to the full chamber; republicans would lack the 60 votes needed to discharge Mullin’s nomination from the committee and to the full chamber, should he have lost today’s panel vote.

Hood-winked.

Fetterman already stated he'd vote for the plumber

Sometimes this all seems like a lot of performative bullshit to me

...for many of the same people now attacking our Dem membership with complaints about 'old' and claiming to offer new progressive choices - much like Fetterman was described against the 'establishment's' Connor Lamb.
