"Fetterman says Democrats governed by Trump Derangement Syndrome "

https://www.abc27.com/pennsylvania-politics/fetterman-says-democrats-governed-by-trump-derangement-syndrome/

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who has been known to buck his party in recent years, said in a Wednesday podcast episode that the Democrats are governed by Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).

“Who do you think leads the Democratic Party today?” The “All-in” podcast’s David Friedberg asked Fetterman in an interview posted Wednesday.

“Oh, we don’t, we don’t have one. I think, I think the TDS that — I think that’s the leader right now. You know, right now our party, is, is governed by the TDS, and now it’s made it virtually impossible, without being punished, as a Democrat, to agree something’s good, or ‘I agree with the other side,’ and I would define that by [Operation] Epic Fury,” Fetterman responded.

“I am literally the only Democrat in America, in Congress, that I’ve come across that’s saying, ‘I think it’s a great thing to break and destroy the Iranian regime,’” he added. (continues)

Thu Mar 19, 2026, 03:03 PM

Was wondering about her.

Gisele Barreto Fetterman‘s social media accounts have been taken down after she spoke out about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier this year. Her X and Instagram accounts were both inactive as of Thursday morning.

Barreto Fetterman, who formerly lived undocumented in the U.S. for more than a decade after emigrating from Brazil, posted about the emotional toll caused by President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown in Minneapolis and other cities.

“Every day carried the same uncertainty and fear lived in my body — a tight chest, shallow breaths, racing heart,” she said in a post on X in late January, the day after a Border Patrol agent fatally shot civilian Alex Pretti. In the same month, an ICE agent fatally shot civilian Renee Good and the agency detained 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos.

“What I thought was my private, chronic dread has now become a shared national wound,"she added. “This now-daily violence is not ‘law and order.’ It is terror inflicted on people who contribute, love, and build their lives here. It’s devastatingly cruel and unAmerican.”

government on January 6th, is a rapist, con man, pathological liar, etc. It is Fetterman who is deranged.

He won’t be reelected if he runs for a second term. I am surprised he hasn’t switched parties.

Have a stroke a few years back. When she was able to come back to work she literally spoke with a real heavy Irish accent. No Irish in her family tree.
They told her it happened more often than you would think.
I did not know you could come out of strike and speak and think Natzeeeeee. With an asshole demeanor.

although I knew of no clues at the time which suggested he could become
ANOTHER Joe Manchin.... I just thought he was the best candidate to win the seat,
which he did...

So Pennsylvania Democrats or others 'in the know'---
Who might be in the running to PRIMARY this guy,
if he should run for re-election in 2028 ???

...'I told you so.'

I backed off of criticizing this guy when he first rose to popularity because the buzz from the kids was that he was a progressive reformer, and Connor Lamb was the 'establishment' candidate, whatever that means.

The Democratic establishment is decidedly progressive and anti-Trump, and this guy is stepping over Democrats to defend the convicted felon who is grifting off of the American people daily.

Besides just making a point about this weirdness, the point should be made that this is the same kind of choice many of the same people pushing off of Democrats and our leaders today, claiming they want some kind of 'new' Democratic party; want to get rid of established Democrats who regularly produce historic progressive legislative change for the American people when they hold the majority.

Our Democratic 'establishment' is the only political force focused on the American people right now; and have been the only party for decades that works for the people. 'TDS" is the new American patriotism and defense of our democracy and people against a fascist president and his toady party.

Fetterman will probably not run in 2028. If he does, Fetterman will be primaried

CNN's Harry Enten zeroed in on a Democratic senator who will "no doubt" face a primary challenge, and history suggests he will likely lose.

CNN's Harry Enten zeroed in on a Democratic senator who will "no doubt" face a primary challenge, and history suggests he will likely lose.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has seen a stunning reversal in his support from his own party's voters since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2023, and Enten told "CNN News Central" that he has never seen an elected official lose backing so dramatically.

"I would just say that John Fetterman is doing as well with Pennsylvania Democrats as the New York Giants are as liked in the state of Pennsylvania, the commonwealth of Pennsylvania," Enten said. "I mean, just look at this: Among Pennsylvania Democrats and that approval of Fetterman, back in 2023, he was a Democrat, liberal darling. He was at plus-68 points. Look at how low he has fallen, down to minus-40 points. He's down there with the Titanic among Democrats in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and, you know, put a comparison point on it."

"You know, we always talk about how [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer is not well liked by the Democratic base nationwide," Enten added. "Chuck Schumer has a net popularity rating of about minus-two points. He is 38 points more popular than John Fetterman is with Pennsylvania Democrats, and I was also looking at Kyrsten Sinema, who, of course, ended up leaving the Democratic Party in Arizona. She was considerably more popular just before she shifted over than John Fetterman is, at minus-40 points."

Anchor John Berman marveled at Fetterman's drop. "This is 108-point swing," he said, and asked Enten what bearing that might have on his fortunes when he faces re-election in two years.
