He could easily have left out the middle sentence about the "relentless commitment to the rule of law." We really don't need any reminders that was crap when Garland said it, and it is no more believable in this instance.

At some point, we need leaders who will speak the plain truth that everybody can see anyway. Today was probably not the day for that, and Mueller's passing was not the occasion. But, this is like the mass shootings. When DO we get to have that discussion?

I remember the scene at a funeral where he cordially greeted Melania Trump.

Melania is a big as birther as her husband.

Not sure I would have been just as classy.
