I have to wonder whether Iran has the cyber capability to turn the lights out

The US has threatened power generation in Iran, but power plants have notoriously bad security. I wonder if Iran has the capability to turn the lights off anywhere in the US and if they would use it.

As they haven't done everything we know they are capable of. There's still some sort of twisted ladder of escalation at play here.

Because we haven’t reached a total war phase. They seem to stick closely to “eye for an eye” type escalation.
