Just asked my wife a question.

I’ll tell you her question and then ask you it.
Would you be ok with paying six dollars a gallon for gas for the next few months if it would end it for tfg and most Publicans for years to come.
Her answer was “Hell yes, I’d pay $85.”
What’s your answer?

And my wife a plug-in hybrid. High fuel prices will hurt us all by driving up costs for everything since transportation is a key element of our consumer society.

people who literally are skipping meals and vital medications, giving up their pets, already facing foreclosure or eviction and having their cars repossessed NOW (and I am seeing the latter more and more)-

We are heading right through recession and far too close to depression. I had hoped never to see much that we are living through now. It is inconceivable to me that EVERYTHING has gone to hell in just over a year.

So, yeah. Paying more (a lot more) for gas might seem a reasonable sacrifice for us, but, damn if I want to see bread lines stretching for blocks around the few private food banks still able to operate and the hopelessness that precedes a massive increase in suicides. And THAT is the truth of what we may well face. Scary? Damned right. I'm scared too.

We’ll see how long the idiot prolongs the war. From what I’ve read, Iran was prepared for this eventuality and it may be months if not years before fuel prices come down. Until this is over and uncountable lives are lost, we are stuck with the orange creature for the next thirty months or so…..unless Orrex’s wish comes true sooner than later.

We need to rule the midterms!

It is already close to that in some states, already affecting those least able to afford it. I'm lucky, I live in a state where gas is still under 4 dollars a gallon, depending on where you go, and diesel is almost 5.50, again depending on where you go, but it is still a major stressor on our budget. While I won't hold my breath, I would rather see it impeached and convicted to be removed from the white house.

He’d have to bring the troops open and have oil shipping back to where it was. Ain’t gonna happen.
