Johnson says supplemental Pentagon funds 'probably' in reconciliation as Senate moves forward

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Wednesday said supplemental funding for the Pentagon due to strikes in Iran would “probably” be part of a second Republican-only reconciliation bill, and he is “glad” the Senate is moving forward on such a measure.

Johnson in a press conference said using the special reconciliation process — which bypasses the need to get Democratic support to meet the Senate’s 60-vote threshold — would be necessary because he does not think Democrats will vote for supplemental funding for the Department of Defense.

“I don’t even think they would agree to vote on a bill that would simply restock our munitions. We used some of those, as you know, in Operation Epic Fury, and we’ve got to do that. It’s a necessity,” Johnson said. “I don’t think we can count on their vote to do the simple, basic responsibility of Congress.”

“And so it is part of reconciliation, probably. We’ll see,” Johnson said.

Probably? You don't know for fact. What a half assed job on your part.

you little cuckolded fluffer, is being an independent body of the legislature and doing the actual work of legislating. Not massaging
Trumps taint and stroking his ego with sweet nothings and made up prizes for being a total
fucking dictator.
So sick of this lapdog Congress!
