ICE and the SS
Watching and reading coverage of the growing disaster unfolding with Trump's "remake" of ICE, I'm becoming more dismayed that the following point is not being raised by the remaining good media. The SS in 1930's Germany was formed as a paramilitary force, created for and by AH for his use, and it was the SS that operated the death camps ("hidden" away in Poland) and unleashed horrors on the German Public along with the Gestapo. The SS was not a part of the regular German Army.
This is sounding pretty familiar to me. We may be helped by the fact that AH was 44 y/o when he was appointed Chancellor, whereas Trump is an almost 80 y/o psychiatric mess. Unless of course he really goes crazy.
