It was YUGE. My knees and back aren't happy but I'm glad I went. Finding a place to park was an adventure, finding the car again afterwards was also a challenge; the Cathedral Hill area where I walked from is like a rabbit warren. I finally got to see Springsteen live! The best speaker IMO was Tim Walz, who lit Trump on fire for what he did here. The speaker from Haven Watch was wonderful, and Bernie was vintage Bernie. I took some photos but they aren't great - better stuff from the media. Lots of clever signs, lots of costumes and inflatables. Indivisible estimates 200,000 people!

(144 posts)My daughter and family were at the capitol in St. Paul. Loved it and especially mentioned Bernie. Shes always been pretty nonpolitical but a good voting Democrat anyway. Shes 45. What happened to friends and neighbors in Minneapolis lit a spark and got her involved with helping out. Another daughter joined in a protest in New Orleans on their way to a cruise vacation. My husband and I drove from our vacation place in Orange Beach AL to Fairhope AL I was surprised at the number of people in ruby red AL, but Fairhope is more artsy & liberal, I guess. We lined the street. Some thought about 1000?? It was so fun with all the honking, thumbs up, waves and also watching a couple Trump trucks going back and forth. It just added to the laughter.

(131,015 posts)He should have been our VP. Hope he stays around in some public capacity after his term as governor is over; he's too good to lose.

(59,438 posts)A little bit old school like Paul Wellstone used to be -- a regular American not looking for his government position to enrich him personally. Can't figure out why any MAGAt would pick a billionaire who spits down on them over someone like Tim Walz.
