FOX & FRIENDS: When you hear people say the Big Beautiful Bill only benefitted the rich, what do you say?
MIKE JOHNSON: It's exactly the opposite. The Big Beautiful Bill-- the hardworking, the Working Families Tax Cut was written for lower and middle-class earners.

(61,082 posts)Add huge cuts for the richest and comparatively small cuts for the rest of us. Then ignore that the loss of revenue triggers cuts that may reduce programs people benefit from more than the small tax cut they got.
Not to mention many cuts to spending that will impact people aren't even directly connected. For example, cuts to research, university, infrastructure, and health make the US less rich over time. Meanwhile the extremely wealthy suck up more and more money ... and if the US becomes a less comfortable third world nation, no problem they probably already have homes elsewhere.
