One of the lessons from Vietnam is that when they start bombarding you with numbers like these -- ordinance used, targets struck, so many killed and wounded -- there's more we're not being told.

Gen Caine On Iran: “Over the past 30 days, we’ve struck more than 11,000 targets. We’ve taken out more than 150 ships, including all Jamaran-class frigates. We continue targeting their defense industrial base at scale, including factories, warehouses, nuclear R&D labs, and related infrastructure.”

Former military here- when they talk numbers instead of clear, defined objectives- run for the hills.

We used to say “never believe anything until it’s been officially denied by the pentagon“, can’t believe a word they say now

We can't lose sight of the fact that our military attacked Iran for no good reason whatsoever.
All the pain, suffering, death and destruction that has happened there at our hands, or in response to what we have done is on US. And even further, would Israel actually have attacked Iran if we didn't agree to do the hard work for them.
There's no excuse for what we have done there. If Israel wants to fight a war, that's their business. Unfortunately we're now in the thick of it, and will probably put boots on the ground soon.
I have no reason to believe our government when they say negotiation have started with the intent to end the conflict.
We saw their recent list of demands; nothing that Iran would agree to. It appears intended to cause the "peace talks" to fail so we can continue to appease Israel by carrying the war further under the false narrative that Iran refuses to negotiate with us.
Perhaps there should be a Nobel War Prize. That's something our president could surly win.

Translate those ordnance to cash - offer it the Vietnamese people (not the government) and we probably could have purchased Vietnam with a huge reduction in those dying.
