emptywheel: Days after Daily Mail Implicates Stephen Miller in Alex Pretti Murder, Daily Mail Responds with Boobies

The most important passage from the Daily Mail (archive link) you need to read this week are these paragraphs describing how, in advance of the Alex Pretti murder, Stephen Miller had ordered DHS goons to “vanquish [protesters] through force of arms.”

So we need to engage these protesters, and we need to vanquish them by force of arms. They need to be vanquished by any force necessary,’ Miller reportedly told immigration leaders, according to the source.

Mere hours after a Border Patrol and ICE agents fatally shot Pretti, an ICU nurse, Miller called the victim an ‘assassin’ on social media.

‘This is why he f***ing needs to be fired. It’s absolutely nuts,’ another senior DHS official familiar with the calls told the Daily Mail. ‘He’s the architect of Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s deaths.’

I already pointed out, the day that Renee Good was shot (after which Trump surged more goons into Minnesota) that there was circumstantial evidence that Miller was giving Greg Bovino orders to directly confront protestors
...
But even though, from the earliest Josh Dawsey article recording Trump reacting against the bad PR, Miller’s role had come under scrutiny, it was Noem, along with Bovino, who were ousted. In fact, that Daily Mail article even notes the Marc Caputo article where someone in Noem’s immediate vicinity (fairly) noted that Miller was the one giving the orders (on Xitter, Caputo notes he was pitched the Boobies story, too, on February 13).

Daily Mail explains that’s why she was fired.

Noem, facing her own pressures for mishandling the crisis, vented about Miller’s influence to others close in her circle, reportedly telling an anonymous Axios source: ‘Everything I’ve done, I’ve done at the direction of the president and Stephen.’

That comment about Miller ultimately contributed to her downfall, sources tell the Daily Mail.

(my bolding on the key Miller quote - that's his "it's OK to kill them" order)
So it looks like Miller (or supporters) pushed the "boobies" story as revenge on Noem (or supporters) putting the blame on Miller for the DHS murders, after having got Noem fired.

and makes sure he's the last to talk to Trump so that Trump can repeat it. In the head, Miller is the brain, Trump the face.

The whole regime is subject to Kompromat. This is a huge security hole that exposes officials to manipulation - from either
foreign or domestic sources. This is the future of the surveillance state.

Some of us wondered why Tillis went after Noem so strongly. I think it's because she dared to blame Miller.

Tillis is a snake. Do not trust him.

... is just getting warmed up. If he's not removed – and SOON – the proverbial substance is gonna hit the fan with a resounding splat. That fucker is the embodiment of pure malignant evil. He won't hesitate to convince Trump to drop the Big One on Iran. If that happens, it's all over. WWIII will be short, and the global destruction will be total.

drive a wooden stake through his heart, decapitate him and bury the head separately, then bury him 10 feet deep in consecrated ground.

It's the only way to make certain he never rises from the dead again.

Of the nature of these people. They're vipers, all of them; they'll turn on one another in heartbeat.

There's no real loyalty or trust because they're all too frantic grabbing whatever they can--money, power, advantage, a pat on the head from the Boss and another step closer to the Throne.

Reportedly, Noem has/had presidential ambitions, most likely nudged along by Lewandowski for whom their partnership was highly profitable. All those ridiculous ads were to boost Noem's public profile and image. The longer she survived in her role, the more Lewandowski could continue his smash and grab heist. Noem's fatal error was publicly announcing her behavior and decisions were at the behest of Trump and Miller.

Stephan Miller? He's King of the Vipers; his cruel machinations predate Trump. Baby Goebbels is an apt title. He's been training for his role since high school. Maybe since kindergarten.

Bovino, IMHO, was just a willing stooge quite happy to assume the role of The Enforcer dressed in his Nazi cosplay coat, the role of a lifetime as Border Patrol's Commander-at-Large. He could goose-step his way to fame and fortune while abusing immigrants and protesters to his heart's delight.

Beware of short men who strut around like roosters.

All of these people (along with scores of others) need to be prosecuted and thrown into jail. No more 'looking forward' for the next Democratic Administration; no more excuses.

Like it or not, difficult or not, the Republican viper nest needs to be cleaned out and thoroughly disinfected.

A Day One imperative!
