It's very difficult these days to pull off a decent satirical post on DU. Reality is too close to satire all on its own these days. April Fools' Day is traditionally a target for satirists, who often depend on their readers to recognize their intent, even if they forget to signal the satirical nature of their writings.

For that reason, I will abstain from posting anything satirical on this date.
