(4,259 posts)I first heard about this elaborate prank 60 years ago when my soon-to-be mother-in-law had been in England in the late '50's and saw it on the telly. And believed it! This is the first time I've actually seen it, though!

Now, I remember reading a book on furniture, and those incredibly ornate legs on Victorian furniture.
