. . . however, today after filling up I did grocery shopping.
Once a week I buy three 750ml bottles of the cheapest white wine I can find -- Pinot Grigio, Chardonay, whatever -- usually pay $10.99 a bottle.
Today every bottle of my usual was $14.65 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$4.09/gal for regular gas is one thing but wine is something else entirely!!! I'm ready to take to the streets -- the National Mall in DC sounds like a good place --I'll go unarmed this time -- who's with me? Look for the old, white-haired almost-bald guy on the Mall across from the White House, sipping cheap wine. (NO BOONE'S FARM -- I do have a little pride,)

(11,704 posts)I travel a lot for work so I'm fucked by gas.
I love wine, fresh fruit/veg and coffee.
Between tariffs, ICE deporting workers, and corporate greed, they fuck me all day every day.
I couldn't hate him, his corrupt family, his greedy backers and every fucker who still voted for him more.

Sorry about the vin de table. If you're paying $14/bottle, go to Costco or Total Wine and get something good at the same price.

I'd estimate 35 or 40 cents more for the size bottles I get.
You're seeing 30 percent, while we're seeing 35 cents!
We're not in wine country so I should be seeing what you are.
I wonder why not.
