Florida doctor faces backlash for comments about drug testing migrants

A local doctor and the CEO of the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce are under fire for controversial comments made on social media.


The comments were made underneath a LinkedIn post about a Food and Drug Administration decision to phase out animal testing during drug research.

"BRAVO. About time we start using illegal immigrants!" one comment said, posted from a LinkedIn page associated with Dr. Philip Seibel, a cardiothoracic surgeon at HCA Florida Lawnwood, a trauma care center in Fort Pierce.
