I became familiar with Bosch because a detail from his painting The Last Judgement was on the cover of an early paperback edition Kosinski's The Painted Bird..

I thus became familiar with his work. Increasingly we are living in a Boschian hell in at least a psychological sense.

Bosch used to live down the road from me! OK a long time ago but anyway he wad from 's Hertogenbosch.
