The mongrel has apparently been a mongrel for a long while? "Pattern of behavior" keeps being handed around ...
DO feel sorry for the people that were sure he was the new, hard hitting 'voice' ...

(34,534 posts)We havea good chance of flipping the seat in November, but Abbott will put AK-guy in. Although it would be a "special election", it won't. It will be in installment due to the fact that all the Democratic areas think they're in another district! (Long story because we are, but we would have to vote in this race instead of our new district) The Democrats won't show up because they won't know that it's their district.

(18,841 posts)Democrats usually do the right thing, their voters expect it of them. Republicans seldom do because their voters don't care.

(34,534 posts)If Tony stays, Katy runs in an open seat. And she runs on Tony's reputation too. She has a good chance of winning.
Abbott is notorious for rigging special elections. Look what he did when Sylvester Turner died? He refused to hold an election. This time, it will be rigged an rushed. Abbott will hold it when he has the votes to get AK-guy in a special. No, just no. Plus most of the Democrats don't know which district they live in right now. I just voted in CD 21 in the primary, but if there is a special election for an unexpired term, I will end up voting in CD 23. How many people would know that. The rest of CD 23 is very rural. But the suburban San Antonio area is sliced and diced. I can just see me going door to door..."Remember how you voted for Kristin Hook in the primary and how she won? Well, you need to vote for someone else ". No, just no!!!
The rural areas will all stay the same! CD 23 will stay red if a special election is held.
You people aren't from here!!! You don't know how it is!!
Eric will be replaced with a Democrat. CD 23 will fall into perpetual darkness....
