(67 posts)The simplistic answer is Stevie Wonder, since that's the only name presented
But it's obvious she referred to Trump, who initiated the reckless war
Clarity in writing is a good thing ... This is ambiguous

(94,412 posts)...the question and quote.
I asked our Capitol Hill reporter Pablo Manriquez to ask Reps. their opinion on the cost of the war adding to huge national debt.
Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA): OMG! Stevie Wonder can even see how much this war is costing us! Gas prices have gone up, fertilizer has gone up, you name it. And this dude, Dr. Jesus, is wanting to spend $2 billion of your money every single day rather than help you get health care. Fuck his ass!
...not sure why anyone is stretching to interpret this as about anyone but the person (and party) spending our tax dollars on war and asking for billions more.
We have this platform to elevate the advocacy of Democrats fighting in those halls for the people. Budgets, appropriations... $2 billion of your money every single day rather than help you get health care.
But you can't find your way to that point; sidestepped it to make this complaint? That's beyond my understanding.

Stevie Wonder Likens a Trump Presidency to Him Driving a Car
Stevie Wonder says even he can see what is at stake if Donald Trump becomes our next president today.
With the thin-skinned GOP nominee overseeing the nuclear codes, Wonder made a an analogy that points out the potential threat of catastrophe a Trump White House would pose.
If you had an emergency situation and needed to go to the hospital, and you had to get there right away, would you want me driving your car? he asked last week, to which a Philly.com reporter replied no. Wonder continued, Because Im not an experienced driver, right?
The 66-year-old musician, who went blind shortly after his birth, added, So my belief is that Hillary is an experienced person of the government, and she has spent 30 years with a commitment. Not to mention that her parents taught her in a kinder way, to have respect and love for all people. Thats the person I want to govern, to be the leader of this nation.

(3,320 posts)How bout this one - "Even (insert name of a mentally challenged celebrity or artist) could understand Trump's war is stupid..."
Or this one - "Even (insert name of bi-polar celebrity) would know that Trump's war is crazy..."

(94,412 posts)...no wonder you're 'off-put.'
So much effort here to denigrate this Rep., as if she meant to slur Stevie Wonder.
Such nonsense, all of it detracting from the actual advocacy.
Now I'm off-put. Stevie will be fine, but this isn't about Stevie Wonder. All I see, and I'm not some ham sandwich, is people denigrating this black woman with their projections and failing to elevate any of the opposition that she's providing here, as well as in her position as U.S. Representative.
That's the actual harm done here. More stepping all over correct advocacy by Dem legislators with silly projections.
Well, here's some projection from me in return: this seems to always happen with the black pols, with people complaining about how they speak and relate, as if they can't fathom the verbiage of black people.
This complaint about Stevie seems contrived and unnecessary. I'd even go so far as to guess he'd be amenable to the analogy. No one in my household, for instance, thinks this is insulting in any way to Stevie Wonder.
So, what the fuss?
