Long before Paula White became a White House Faith Advisor, she and Randy White were featured in a 1992 Diane Sawyer interview that many Evangelicals and Baptists may find difficult to reconcile with her current role and influence.
The segment includes footage of their Tampa-based church, Without Walls International (approximately 0:574:25), with Paula also appearing around the 6:00 and 9:00 minute marks.
Over the past 30 years, she has navigated a series of church relocations from Orlando to Texas, New York, and now Washington, D.C. Her theology has been consistent throughout and that is precisely the point. She has long promoted theological positions that the broader Christian world has largely rejected, and that Evangelicals and Southern Baptists have never supported. Yet here she stands, at the highest levels of government, representing a faith community that does not even claim her.
For those within Southern Baptist and traditional Evangelical communities, who adamantly oppose everything she represents, with an agenda she is now promoting in rare form through the WH, Paula White's prominent role as a White House Faith Advisor represents a direct theological contradiction they have yet to publicly address. Figures like Franklin Graham, stand in sharp contrast to her theology and ministry, yet remains notably silent. That silence speaks volumes. Her foothold remains oddly unchecked.
For others who remember this long forgotten interview, her antics are not new. The point here is not to debate the theology but simply to note how conservatives are continuing to remain silent on yet another issue publicly, while scrambling behind the scenes to control the narrative "within walls." The expected fallout will be huge.
Worth sharing across all social media, as this is the elephant in the room they hope never resurfaces for them to be forced to address.
Just disregard anything past the 10 minute mark. That's where Sawyers interview ends

(1,703 posts)so they could spread the gospel by speaking in the language that the locals spoke. So if the apostles
went to, say Turkey, they were given the ability to speak Turkish. This gibberish stuff is just the Whites making
nonsense up as they go along to grift from their congregation. No holiness involved! I only watched a
few minutes, couldn't stomach anymore. I feel sorry for people who give money over and over to these thieves.
She and her husband are just like Trump--stealing from the poor to make themselves richer!

(1,895 posts)many ways, grifter though she was in many ways, McPherson would have despised Trump as well. Trump would have despised her as well as she actually used church offerings to feed the Depression era poor in L.A. while Trump would have bought a jet with such funds.
