Former Georgia congresswoman and one-time Donald Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene has joined the disgruntled group of MAGA stalwarts raising questions about the assassination attempt on the president when he was running for office.

“President Trump, of all people, should be leading the charge” to determine all the facts of what happened that day in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a campaign speech two years ago, she noted on X. “Why isn’t he?” Greene demanded. “That’s the question.”

Suspected shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was killed by a Secret Service sniper after a bullet reportedly grazed Trump’s ear as he spoke on stage. Instead of ducking or being pushed to the ground by his security team, Trump defiantly raised a fist to the crowd and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” as Secret Service agents pressed around him to protect him.

Questions were raised at the time, largely by the left, about the incident. Now, an increasing number of one-time Trump supporters are arguing that the attempt was staged by the president to win votes in a hard-fought election. They have offered no evidence, and a federal task force report concluded the shooting was as it appeared.

As the extent of the threat is obviously unknown (i.e. multiple assailants), security personnel should always immediately extract the protectee from the venue and to a secure environment.

25. They DID violate all the established protocols in a pretty shocking way. And yet, somehow, the guy herding

the photographers into position knew in advance that the Secret Service was going violate their protocols and allow the photo-op pose that they absolutely should never have allowed. AND that guy herding the photographers knew exactly where they were going to allow orange Jesus to strike that pose.

Either that guy is psychic, or it was staged.

Trump intentionally had one or two people killed for his PR event.

(Of course, that assumes the supposedly dead people actually were killed and not just part of a staged play. How would we know?)

It would take a complete sociopath to have 2 people killed just for a good picture. So I have always doubted the staging theory. But since then, we have seen zero remorse when this guy apparently ordered innocent fishermen basted to bits and hundreds of school girls killed by our push-button weapons.

But how could they cover up those deaths in Butler? That's a tough one. The supposed death of the supposed shooter would be easy enough to cover up because hardly anybody saw him. But the guy in the audience was well known in the community. I can see only 2 ways this could have worked under the MTG theory:

1) Somebody had dirt on the victim, and used it to convince him to take his family to a new location under a new identity. Or somebody had some other reason to want the victim dead. I can't see either of those scenarios. That would just take too much coordination.

2) Back to the sociopath thing. Trump just didn't care who died. It would be blamed on Trump's enemies. The shooter could easily have been extracted from the scene.

In a similar vein, we still have heard nothing about the pilot who was supposedly rescued in Iran. The Pentagon claimed he was injured, but survived. It seems completely implausible that the Trump machine would not be parading him around, injured or not, in one of their famous flag-waving exercises.

The bottom line is that NOTHING this administration says can be believed, and that gives rise to this kind of speculation.

23. It can be staged and the guy still shot and killed

the staged part would be it was an actual attempt to shoot Trump. But they would actually not aim for him.

I can easily see Trump being ok with any random innocent being killed if it meant he would benefit in any way.

The reason I don't think it was staged was the shooter was a young white maga loser from a maga family. I can easily see his motive being some bizarre thing of wanting to be connectec to Trump forever. And gun nuts always have an urge to use their gun. realistically this will never come up in terms of crime and defense. But he saw was having a rally and wanted to use it. To me it makes sense that the suspect was who it was. Same with the guy that killed Charlie Kirk. They grew up in Gun worshipping families.

If it was actually staged I think they would get someone that was non white to do it.

The Maga base were in a rage after both the attempt to shoot Trump and the Kirk shooting. On social media's they were
going on about "them" tryng to kill "us". After it was revealed who the suspects were in both cases they calmed down and just wanted to move on from the actual shooting.

that part of the story was actually true. It does seem far-fetched that the shooter would be a plant, a hired marksman, or anything other than what they claimed. But do we actually have any evidence who the shooter was and that he was actually killed?

Usually in cases like this, there is at least one scenario that could explain all the data points. But every scenario I can think of, including the official line, has big flaws that make no sense.

The official story has trump grazed by a bullet. But then he pops right up, and there happened to be camera shots lined up perfectly. And a week later, his ear shows no sign of any injury whatsoever. No sign of stitches. No bruising. Nothing.

But the other theories have equally big problems.
