Smoke 'em if you got 'em. Or go with edibles if that's your preference.

(151,480 posts)It's no fun any more. Too bad. I remember the 60s and 70s. It was fun, then.
Oh, well...
Roll another one. Just like the other one.

(103,788 posts)I got tired of the need for clandestine acquisition and use. I am so glad that I can go to a store and just fucking buy it and go home and enjoy without the paranoia that used to come from it all. I just need something to take the edge off my PTSD which the paranoia only made worse.

(151,480 posts)I'm just waxing nostalgic about the culture that was in place in California in my 20s. I do that a lot, now that I'm in my 80s.

(103,788 posts)I remember living that life in California and half a dozen other states! It was such a hassle.
It's so much nicer now, don't need to maintain a relationship with a dealer and all the headache that goes with that.

(151,480 posts)used to routinely plant cannabis seeds in public places. Parks, government building flower beds, here and there. On the local University campus, too. Anywhere things got watered regularly. It was a joke, of course, but you'd be surprised at how much of what we planted grew to have buds and flowers. We never went back and harvested any of it, but we sure planted a lot of seeds. Those were the days when seeds were plentiful in baggies of weed.
Bunch of Johnnie dope seeds we were.
Where I lived, the county District Attorney stopped prosecuting people for simple possession. Things were pretty easy, as long as you didn't flaunt the stuff and kept your use to yourself.
That said, we were also always aware that people were being arrested and jailed for weed. We all worked toward decriminalization or legalization. It took many decades to see that happen, though. Now that it has, "No, no, no, no, I don't smoke it no more."

In the laid back California town of sunny San Rafael
Lived a girl named Pearly Sweetcake, you probly knew her well.
Shed been stoned fifteen of her eighteen years and the story was widely told
That she could smoke 'em faster than anyone could roll.
