I am watching Steve Kornacki cover the VA race on the nbc website

So far (fingers crossed) it looks good for "yes". The no vote is not hitting its benchmarks according to Steve. Results are coming in fast and furious, and it sounds like we'll have a decision soon.

He did his job, but boy did he annoy me. I know, I know... Many felt he was "beloved." Good for them.

By contrast, we have a sane option and one I adore: Ali Velshi. He doesn't always pronounce place names correct (Henrico County is Hen RYE Co County, not Hen REE co), but he'll get it.

I'm disappointed it's not going to be a blowout. I'm generally opposed to gerrymandering but MAGA is a distinct threat and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. It has already flipped or is about to

66% in. ‘NO’ lead is down to three points. Fairfax is only 20% in. Fairfax is voting 75% ‘YES’.

If they don't challenge it, they would have to accept similar margins in November.

BREAKING: The YES vote will WIN Virginia’s redistricting referendum, allowing Democrats to redraw maps ahead of the midterms and potentially flip the state from 6–5 to 10–1 — a four-seat swing that could decide control of Congress.

I happened to notice the "Kornacki cam" on the NBC website. He was covering it without interruption or commercial break for at least an hour or two that I saw. It was fascinating to me. Occasionally he'd do a "hit " for NBC news without skipping a beat. I'm neutral on Kornacki and I like Velshi a lot, but he was giving it nonstop live coverage so I watched.

I can’t believe I was arguing with some moron last week about how “this would turn off independents”. I told the poster to take it up with Texas republicans.

Great win! Good job Virginia democrats!

What a waste of time. This person couldn’t admit that most so called independents actually have a partisan leaning.
