The wipeout coming for Donvict and his ReTHUGs in November will make make Cat5 Hurricane Melissas direct hit in south-west Jamaica look like childs play.
The clean up that follows will also take years.

(103,568 posts)About that. That's why I keep arguing about putting novices in the Senate right now. The House is one thing, it's like the undergrad sector where the Senate is like graduate and post graduate level, not many have the knowledge and experience to jump right in.
It's the same argument for why I was for Pelosi and Biden, I want someone who knows how to drive the bus who can take the wheel and steer us away from the cliff, including slamming on the brakes if need be.

My view is that after Trump's collapse and departure, Republicans will go back to their same old bullshit. I'm not confident that American voters will learn anything from the past 11 years of Trump infecting our politics. After all, it isn't just Trump; it's also those who support him and they'll still be around.
The recent mea culpas by the likes of Tucker Carlson and Megan Kelly do not mean they have become Democrats. They-- and their rancid ilk-- still believe in their horrible policies.

Too many ways to cheat, lie and steal and get away with it.
Things need to change on a constitutional level and I just dont see that happening soon.
I would love to be wrong about this but

(12,649 posts)Volunteer like Republicans are sure winners. Write letters to Editors like our lives depend on it. Protest like nobody else will show up if we dont. Attend town halls, make signs, buy bumper stickers. Put signs on our lawns or in apartment windows.
VOTE like your own will be the one that determines the winner.
We cant get too sure of ourselves. Not this time.
You are correct
