Ghislaine Maxwell wants out of jail, and she is, more or less blackmailing Melania/Krasnov with the proof that Melania/Krasnov were very close with Epstein/Maxwell.

She sent the USB on April 16th to Jay Clayton a US attorney for the SDNY.

Assuming she has real proof on the Trumps, I think that is the best she can do.

If she had something that proves Trump was a pedophile, threatening to send it to say the NY AG if it happened in NY would likely see her condition in prison change back immediately to where she was or worse.

Maxwell is the ONLY one in jail from this group that harmed as many as 1000 girls. Not to mention, she was not on the fringe of this, but was deeply involved in acquiring, grooming and abusing them. A Trump pardon would be inexcusable even to some in his shrinking base. Not to mention, when Trump is out of office, she could be subpoenaed and could not use the fifth.

The lawyers must have Maxwell's computer drive with access to her documents and emails, or if not that, she has provided all documents for them to hold while she's in prison.

If something should happen to her in prison - if she gets "Epsteined" - those documents will be revealed in totality. That's what is keeping her alive, and it's also giving her lawyers something to fight with.

Apparently Melania is frightened at the thought of what Amanda Ungaro might reveal, and now she needs to worry about Maxwell also. This is all crystallized by the impending publication of Michael Wolff's next book, and that may be Melania's biggest nightmare of all. I believe Wolff has interviewed Ungaro and Maxwell as well as others.

The fact that it is a storage device is far more relevant than the type of connector it has. Would anyone have said "she sent a SCSI" or "an IDE" or "a FireWire" or "a SATA" ? No, they would have said she sent a "hard drive" or "SSD". Using "USB" for "flash drive" or "storage" is more slang than anything. There are USB cards, cameras, keyboards, mice, FireWire transceivers, etc. Who decided that only storage would monopolize the term "USB" ? I hope this doesn't become general usage, because it's not well thought out at all.

A "thumb drive" might be slang, but at least that term is used for only one thing, so it's still unambiguous. Some just might not be familiar with that term, but if they look it up or ask around, they'll only get one answer. Ask "what's a USB" and most people will tell you, correctly, it's a type of connector/connection.
