Real Name: Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier
Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and motivational speaker. Based in New York City, New York, United States. Born May 9, 1979 in Stanford, California. His mother is Wendy Wilkes. In 2008 he married Cherie Lily.
In 1993, he joined the band Slam, later called Reverse Polarity. Over the next 5 years he was in many different bands in Michigan, most notably The Pterodactyls (as L.A. Ellington) and Kathode (as Glaucomanie). During 1996 he founded two labels: V. Records. In 1994 he also started Ancient Art Of Boar, later making it a solo project titled AAB which ended in 1998. In 2004, Andrew had a television show on MTV2 titled Your Friend.
In late 2004, legal disputes surrounding the use of Andrew W.K.'s name emerged, which prevented him from using it in the US and affected his possibility to release music there. He began performing as a self-help, new age motivational speaker in 2005. In 2006, after premiering the live concert film Who Knows? Live In Concert: 2000 - 2004, he released his third album, Close Calls With Brick Walls = 兄貴、危機一髪!, exclusively in Asia due to the legal issues. He was commissioned to record ringtones with covers of Japanese songs in 2008.
In February 2009, Andrew found a loophole in his contractual constraints and formed Skyscraper Music Maker (renamed Steev Mike in 2010). He hosted Cartoon Network's Destroy Build Destroy in 2009. In 2013 he became the vocalist of Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg, until 2015. His Japanese name is アンドリュー W.K. His Japanese Real Name is アンドリュー・フェタリー・ウィルクス・クライアー
