Enid is amazing city. The people arent rude and they treat you well.
I have delivered there several times over the years, but most recently about a month ago.
From what I understand? Nearly half the town is devastated and many people will have to rebuild their homes or move to another location. Most of them lost everything.
I know its a red state, Enid is a wonderful city. I hope they can find some relief and begin to recover soon.

(41 posts)And you are correct: it is an amazing city!
The major damage to the area was a housing addition on the southside of Enid
.approximately 40 homes have been destroyed. Its an astonishing sight to see. But the best news is there were no casualties!
Okies are always keeping on eye to the skies and the other on the Weather people on the local tv stations. David Payne, Mike Morgan, etc are the ones to watch for live weather conditions.
I grew up there
.Graduated from Enid High School, Class of 1977. I worked for USPS from 1981 through 2002. I saw many changes to Enid, but it still had a small town feel.
I moved away many years ago, but I would always go back because my parents still lived there.
Thank you for your kind words about Enid! It will always have a place in my heart. ❤️

Clyde Cessna lived in Enid for a lot of years when he started flying before living permanently in Kansas that most never know about.

(34,971 posts)I couldn't see much of the aftermath from them, but have seen numerous photos on social media. It was awful to watch, especially knowing that people were losing their homes and businesses. But, I'm thankful nobody died, AFAIK.
